Welcome to Clarendon Childcare Center! We are thrilled to have your family join our community. Established during the 1981-82 school year with the support of the San Francisco Board of Education, our program began at Clarendon Elementary School with humble beginnings. Today, we proudly offer a nurturing environment that fosters safety, learning, and personal growth for your child.
Our program is built on the foundation of high-quality childcare, emphasizing a safe, enriching, and exciting curriculum. We adhere to strict safety and health standards, maintaining a secure environment for all children. Our dedicated team of educators is certified in pediatric first aid and CPR and remains vigilant in maintaining a clean and healthy space for our young learners.
Communication and collaboration are key aspects of our approach. Our teachers are always available to discuss your child's progress and are committed to regular communication with you and Clarendon's classroom teachers. This ensures that we are aligned on your child's behavior, academic concerns, and our common goals. For more detailed discussions, we kindly ask that you schedule conferences in advance to ensure the availability of our staff.
We appreciate and encourage your involvement in our program. While parent participation is not required, your insights, ideas, and feedback are invaluable. Unannounced visits are welcome, as we believe in transparency and open communication.
It's important to us that your child's experiences at home, school, and childcare complement each other. To facilitate this, we strive to keep you informed about any significant events or patterns at childcare and ask that you do the same regarding home events. This mutual exchange of information helps us provide the best possible care and support for your child.
Please note that our program is quite popular, and spaces are generally filled by October 1 each year. We maintain a waiting list, and openings are filled by those prioritized on the list, with special consideration for siblings and full-time enrollments.
